Created by Leonardo da Vinci circa 1487, The Vitruvian Man is one of his most famous works, which was made by pen and ink paper. It is based on the correlations of ideal human proportions and depicts a male figure in two superimposed positions with his arms and legs apart and simultaneously inscribed in a circle and square. It got this name because it’s accompanied by notes based on the work of the famed architect, Vitruvius.
